Cairo After Dark: the Dark Siege is called a storytelling game because of it's rules. These rules, do not exist to limit the behavior or keep anyone in check. These rules exist to provide the players with challenges, along with simple ways to adjudicate the challenges placed before them.

Long centuries separate times of the wars for the lands into what we know as the Renaissance times. As castle lands are fought over, medicine healers run bringing herbs and powders from far away lands. Forest greens hid those who would raid travelers coming from afar. Kings ruled over the kingdoms with vast armies of men who would serve and protect. No electric, running water or modern convince. A time for which so long many forgotten, but hidden away still lives those of the Dark Ages.

There are many creatures that lurk within the shadows of the dark medieval nights, from mere servants that Kindred create into monsters of their own to powerful wizards within a castles dungeon. Each creature holds some sort of supernatural powers, and may consider the Damned their enemies. But they also have mortal enemies who grow increasingly aware of their existence and wield their faith as a weapon.
